FANTASTIC NEWS pertaining to our German Production Crew …. Client , Agency and Photographers .
With effect from 1 August 2021 the Federal Republic of Germany no longer lists South Africa as an area of variant of concern. This implies that the general travel ban has been lifted.
South Africa is still being designated as a country with a significantly elevated risk of infection (high risk areas). Some travel restrictions remain in place.
BUT, for persons who have been vaccinated or recovered from an infection and arrive in Germany from South Africa , mandatory quarantine ends immediately after submitting proof of vaccination or proof of recovery. This proof can be uploaded prior to travel when submitting the digital entry registration.

The long and short of it is : If you have been fully vaccinated with vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) you are not required to quarantine on returning home to Germany.
VACCINATED : So you require a negative test when entering South Africa and no quarantine applies , then heading home to Germany no quarantine applies .
UNVACCINATED : If you are not vaccinated , all you need is a negative test and quarantine rules apply.
